This page explains what happens to your information when you use Allcals — what we collect, what we don't, and how our advertising partners fit into the picture. We've tried to write it the way we'd explain it to a friend rather than the way a law firm would, though we've kept the substance accurate. If anything here is unclear, our contact page is always open.
The short version
Most of the tools on Allcals — the age calculator, BMI calculator, percentage calculator, password generator, QR code generator, word counter, PDF tools, and random generator — run entirely inside your browser. The numbers or text you type into them are processed on your own device using JavaScript and are never sent to our servers. When you close the tab, that data is gone. There's no database on our end storing your birthdate, your generated passwords, or the text you pasted into the word counter, because that information never left your browser in the first place.
The one exception is the currency converter. Exchange rates change constantly, and there's no way to calculate an accurate, current rate without pulling that data from a live source. To show you up-to-date rates, that tool sends your requested currency pair to a third-party exchange-rate API and displays the result. No personal information is attached to that request beyond what's technically required to fetch the rate (such as your general network request, similar to loading any webpage).
Information we collect automatically
Like almost every website, our server and analytics tools automatically log some basic technical information when you visit — things like your approximate location (derived from IP address, not GPS), browser type, device type, the pages you visited, and how long you stayed. We use this in aggregate to understand which tools people actually use and where the site might be slow or broken. We don't use this information to identify you personally, and we don't sell it.
Cookies and advertising
Allcals is free to use because it's supported by advertising, and our ad partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Some of these are:
- Ad delivery cookies — used by our advertising network to display ads and prevent the same ad from showing repeatedly.
- Measurement cookies — used to understand how many people saw or interacted with an ad, which helps our advertising partners and us understand performance.
- Basic analytics cookies — used to understand overall site traffic and tool usage, in aggregate, not tied to your identity.
These cookies are set by third-party advertising and analytics providers, not by Allcals directly, and are governed by those providers' own privacy policies as well as ours. You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser's privacy settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies specifically if you'd rather keep our ad partners from setting them at all. Doing so shouldn't affect your ability to use any of the calculators or generators on this site — it may just change which ads you see.
Third-party services we use
To keep the site running and free, we rely on a small number of outside services:
- An advertising network that serves the banner and native ad units you see on each page.
- A public exchange-rate API, used only by the currency converter, to fetch live rates.
- A form-delivery service on our Contact Us page, which forwards messages you submit directly to our inbox.
- Standard web hosting and basic traffic analytics.
We choose these providers carefully, but each one operates under its own privacy policy, which may differ slightly from ours. If you'd like details on a specific provider, feel free to ask through our contact page.
What we don't do
We don't sell your personal information to data brokers. We don't require an account, email address, or phone number to use any calculator or generator on this site. We don't store the actual content you type into our tools — your passwords, your text, your PDF files — on our servers, because for most tools that content never reaches our servers to begin with.
Children's privacy
Allcals is a general-audience reference and utility website. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and the site is not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information (for example, through the contact form), please reach out and we'll remove it.
Your choices
You can clear cookies, browse in private mode, or use browser extensions that block third-party trackers and ads — all of that is entirely your call, and none of it will lock you out of using Allcals' calculators. If you're in a region with specific data-protection rights (such as the EU's GDPR or California's CCPA), you're entitled to request information about, or deletion of, any personal data we may hold about you — which, for most visitors, amounts to little more than basic technical logs. Reach out through our Contact Us page to make such a request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally — to reflect a new tool, a new ad partner, or a change in how a service works. We'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page when that happens. We'd encourage checking back here occasionally, especially if you're a frequent visitor.
Questions?
If anything on this page doesn't make sense, or you want more detail on a specific point, get in touch through our Contact Us page. We're a small team, and we'd rather explain things clearly than have you left guessing.
